Seat Reservations

Today on the train, a Dutch woman came up to me and accused me of sitting in her seat.

Funny enough, it wasn’t her seat. She couldn’t tell the difference between car 21 and car 24, plus she didn’t know how to read seat reservation displays, which if she could read them, would have told her that this wasn’t her seat.

The information for my seat was blank indicating that either it was my seat, or that it was an unreserved seat.

I am always surprised at the number of people who have lived with seat reservations for a number of years and speak the local language, but fail to understand how they work.
