When I realized how hot and awful it was going to be today (it’s 37C/99F at 7pm), I made afternoon plans for hitting the movie theater and paying for two hours of air conditioning whilst receiving a free movie!
I picked “The Invention of Lying”, which was a charming and cute film.
Go see it.
As I left the cold comfort of the theater, I was hit by the wall of heat and I wanted to melt—and I would have done so immediately had I not noticed that the Sony Center’s fountain and bench was set up perfectly for soaking feet.
So I did, along with a lot of other people.
Lots of nice views there.
RYC: Yes, I’ve read all of Stephen Clarke’s books.
