I’ve gone from ranting about working out to ranting about work.

Sorry.

I’ve been drowning in work for the last two months—but I am happy to report that I have made significant headway on my work queue. I’ve gone from having ten items on it to four—and am feeling a lot less stressed. Of the four items on the queue, one is half done and the remaining three all qualify as “long” – and, as such, will take multiple days each to complete.

Maybe everything currently in the queue will be done by the end of next week.

On the home front, I started spring cleaning tonight: I thoroughly vacuumed the apartment, even going so far as to get rid of all the dust from under my bed. At the same time I washed my winter coat – I’m hoping that I can put it away for the summer.

I’m still going to the gym – although I skipped a week whilst I was sick. Things are definitely going well – even the shoulder press. I’ve managed to get to the point where the 12.5 kg on the shoulder press no longer kills me. I also find some things easy that others – apparently – do not, like the low row. I watched some man struggle mightily to do it – his muscles bulging and obvious struggle ensued. I got on the machine after him and discovered that he left it at 45 kg – the same amount that I do.

For the moment I very much feel like I haven’t been able to do any really long range planning of things I want to do and places I want to go. I have a plan to go to the beach in June, but I suspect that it is going to fall by the way side due to temporary financial issues.
