This evening people from my office met up in Jena’s Paradise Park to have a party.
The weather couldn’t have been better, and the park couldn’t have been much more crowded.
Fortunately, one of the people who lives in Jena has a grill, and he rolled it to the park and got the fire going so that when everybody showed up, the fire was ready to cook. This, of course, was a bit different from an average BBQ, because at an average one, the fire isn’t started until after everybody shows up, which means that its not until an hour later that the fire is ready to go–and, in the case of our group last year, we tried to start a fire without any matches (none of us there were smokers, and none of the people we stopped in the park were smokers either, a rather unusual situation in Germany).
I caught the 20:41 train back to Weimar, and then walked home looking for d°poL graffiti. I found some and I also snagged the photo attached to this entry: the view was amazing this evening.
I would write more, but… I’m exhausted.
I’ll write more tomorrow, because although the weather is going to be splendid, I will be trapped at home doing laundry for a large part of the day.
Hey chris…laundry…wouldn’t Adam make a good “wife” 🙂
I also do my own laundry and even iron the clothes after.
Well Charles I don’t want you to feel left out. You will make someone (Odd) a god wife too:-)
Spell check can’t catch everything. Of course I meant GOOD wife:-0
