It’s been a great weekend.
Yesterday I took the long walk that I’d been thinking about—from Weimar to Hopfgarten, a small village west of Weimar. I timed it perfectly. Minutes after I walked back into my flat the rain started.
I then made bread and homemade pizza. The pizza dough used a recipe that my mother gave me over the phone—and it was fantastic. It was so fantastic that I decided to have homemade pizza two evenings in a row—a perfect meal for Sunday evening.
About the only bad thing Saturday was that the mail did not bring me this week’s Economist.
Today, I met a friend at Café Laden for coffee and then spent the afternoon doing laundry, reading, and then messing with the blog.
All 2004 entries have been tagged now; the most important benefit of tagging is that I am cleaning up text encoding issues that cropped up during a previous MovableType upgrade.
I hope y’all have all had great weekends—especially the people in Canada who are celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend.
I usually have perfect timing also. It usually starts raining when I step out of my flat.
How far did you walk? I did some cycling yesterday – I much prefer that to walking.
How about posting the dough recipe? I might get around to making pizzas someday.
we make homemade pizza a lot…also cheese sticks. yum! you ought to try making cheese sticks…you’d like them i think 😀
