Today is going to simultaneously ROCK and suck.

It’s 4:45 and I have had about 4 hours of sleep so far.

Jetlag is evil, and I always have it badly when going Stateside.

I predict an afternoon nap, sandwiched in between all the awesome people I am going to see today.

Greetings, by the way, from Indiana.

My Feet Hit The Ground, Running!

Sorry about my silence, but…

Monday my plane landed at 12:45, I was home, showered, and napping by 13:45, then I met Snooker in Berlin for a light snack before going to the gym, where I lifted weights did cardio, briefly. I closed out the day by coming home, unpacking the suitcase and crashing early.

Lagging Behind…

I am one of the strangest people I know because everything I’ve read says that time shifting from Europe to America should be easy as pie and going from America to Europe takes days.

The thing is, when I fly from America to Europe, the next morning I am on European time, but when I […]

Coffee Community

It’s 9:15, and I have been at Caribou Coffee on Broadway since it opened at 6:30.

Yes, that’s early—especially for a Saturday morning, but I crashed and burned last night, falling asleep before 11. There was no dancing involved, just pure beautiful jetlag that resulted in me waking up at 4, when I spent some […]

Getting Settled Back In

Today was the walk through of my new apartment—I now have the keys and am ready to move-in. The moving truck will appear Monday around noon with all my shit, so whilst I am not technically homeless, I am still practically homeless.

I spent last night in Berlin—after landing in Berlin early, I headed to […]

Odd Space

For some reason, despite zooming ahead and getting a lot squared away, I am suddenly feeling sluggish; stuck in low gear, or something.

I woke this morning at 6:30—and it was a struggle to get out of bed; last night I’d had trouble falling asleep, something I suspect to do with the fact that I’d […]

Bad Week Ahead

I can already tell that this is going to be a rough week in America: I woke at 1:30 and couldn’t get back to sleep until after 3:30.

Ouch!

The first part of my trip to America was not that great. I got up a bit earlier than planned in Frankfurt, got cleaned up and […]

No Jet Lag!!!

I’m still in work-crush mode—although today I spent an hour looking at the cover of various books with somebody—and believe it or not, it was actually work related.

Regardless, I am happy to be back in Weimar: yesterday after arrival, I took a two hour nap, and when the alarm went off, I couldn’t get […]

Memo to World

Thanks to the person who called me at 5:20 this morning.

More tomorrow.

Jetlagged…

I got to Bloomington Sunday evening at about 6:30—it was only a short time later that I crawled into bed and fell asleep.

Eventually I woke up: it was pitch black and I felt rested. I guessed it was 3 or 4am. In reality: 10:30. I surfed the web and did nothing until midnight when […]
