Bad things happen in threes, and I think I survived my trio of appointment issues without too many problems: Last Friday I simply forgot my hair cutting appointment, this past Wednesday, somebody had messed up my eye exam appointment, and today I got a call from my dentist’s office announcing that he was going to be on vacation during my scheduled appointment next Friday.
Fortunately the eye exam was squeezed in the same afternoon, but not without some persistence on my part; I managed to snag a perfectly decent hair cutting appointment today at noon, and the dentist happened to have a free slot available today as well.
The Results: Eyes are in fine shape, Hair looks good, and my Teeth have no issues warranting immediate attention.
The bad thing is that I had enormous problems sleeping last night and I desperately needed a nap this afternoon-which I haven’t yet taken. A friend is supposed to stop by to look at the Saturn at 5, in a few scant minutes.
My plan for the evening is to go to a reception for the SMYHL (Sexual Minority Youth in the Heart-Land) at 6 and a few activities after that were going to last until 9:30. There will be an interesting tug-o-war between my wanton desire to sleep and my desire to attend this evening’s conference activities.
All in all, today was a lot busier than I expected, but I got a lot done. It looks like next Friday, which I had pegged as a perfectly horrible day, is going to be pretty light.
Random Notes Section: My friend MT snagged frequent flier tickets to visit me in Frankfurt! Way to go!
I’m still doing my happy dance about this! Yippee!!!
Way to go MT. Since I purchased the tickets to London when I went with Adam it was a bit more expensive but I performed a happy dance just the same.
