I was halfway to Prague before I remembered that I’d slept through the presidential debate. Bad me. I just checked cnn.com and it appears that Kerry won… which is rather nice.
I did make it to Prague, 40 minutes late, and have visited the Decorative Arts Museum… a fantastic place. (Think V&A, but smaller.) They had a special exhibit on Scandanavian Design in progress, and I enjoyed viewing it.
I signed up for a haircut tomorrow morning at a salon where they don’t speak English… but I was able to use German to communicate what time I wanted to get my hair cut… Good thing we studied how to tell time in German on Wednesday and that I could remember how to do so.
Randomly, I have set the keyboard at the cafe to English, and… consequently, am having trouble with Ys and Zs. I’ve gotten too used to the German keyboard.
Glad you’re having a good time in Prague. Interesting how the common bridge between yourself and the styling parlor was being able to get your point across in German.
