Even though I’m not leaving until Friday morning, I started packing today.
I really have to be finished by tomorrow night since Thursday night is the office Christmas party and I won’t be able to pack after that. I’m hoping to drink much eggnog-or its German equivalent.
Last Saturday, when I went to Erfurt, I had zero Christmas presents purchased. While in Erfurt, I purchased a couple presents-my father and oldest sister were covered-and one large traditional German Christmas Decoration. This item has, with the payment of 25€ caused me to use my large suitcase on my upcoming trip. There’s no way this thing could have ever fit in my small suitcase. I hope the family appreciates it. I’ve found a couple other presents today and those too have made their way into the suitcase. I’m hoping two presents make their way to me from their far-flung origin on Thursday, and I’ll summarily slip them into my suitcase and be ready to go.
The most amazing thing is that there’s acres of space in my suitcase!
I’m already wondering what I’ve forgotten.
I got all my Christmas shopping done, with one exception, while I was out in the Western US. I figured that since I was there, I might as well do it and avoid the shipping charges from one side of the continent to the other.
I suppose it could be argued that the insane amount of money I spent to go out there could equal high priced shipping. 🙂
Hmmm…. don’t forget to pack all toys needed for “intimate” moments. You might not need them, but think of the shock you can give the baggage checkers. LOL! 😉
