16.12.04

Today, the day of the Christmas Party, has been bright and sun-shiny! In fact, ever since my roommate came to Europe last week, it’s been pretty sunny. Seems like he brought it with him from the States.

Tomorrow I leave for Prague bright and early in the morning: 7:30. Depending how I feel in Prague, […]

Sugar

Memo to Self:

Be sure you check to see if you have enough sugar for what you want to do in advance. Otherwise your only source of sugar might be sugar cubes, and those are a bitch to work with.

Packing

Even though I’m not leaving until Friday morning, I started packing today.

I really have to be finished by tomorrow night since Thursday night is the office Christmas party and I won’t be able to pack after that. I’m hoping to drink much eggnog-or its German equivalent.

Last Saturday, when I went to Erfurt, I […]

Trains and Euros

So today was the first work day with the new train schedule, and, dare I say it, new prices. Ten cents more, round trip, every day. Woooot!

Unfortunately my train was 15 minutes late, so I froze to death on the platform.

Blah!

Hell.

The Dante’s Inferno Test banished me to the Second Level of Hell! Here is how I matched up against all the levels:

Skating

I would write more.

But I am exhausted.

I went ice skating today, and my legs? Well, I haven’t done anything like this to my legs in quite awhile.

It was fun- it was good- it was… worth doing again.

Hopefully my legs will be more used to it.

The Right Says…

“Slave life was to them a life of plenty, of simple pleasures, of food, clothes, and good medical care.”

PDA

Cultural differences between the US and Germany are often subtle.

That’s not to say there aren’t the major differences that are often quickly obvious such as the smoking that is omnipresent, the love of Döner, and high quality everyday beers.

What I have noticed, and its taken me awhile to do so, is the acceptance […]

I fly.

As most of you are aware, I have quite a bit of traveling ahead of me in the coming weeks-so much so that I’m not certain my body will actually know what time zone it’s in until March!

Just to refresh you:

17 December: Train to Prague, Meeting with Professor 18 December: Prague-Amsterdam-Detroit-Denver 30 December: […]

Amazing… Race

Dear Adam,

I know that you “love” Rebecca, but I have news for you.

You’re GAY.

Gay as they come-I don’t care if you’re a gym bunny who chased Rebecca and convinced her that you’re straight, you’re just kidding yourself. You’re flamingly GAY, and it’s painfully obvious to everybody-even Rebecca thought you were gay, and […]
