It’s incredibly cold here in Bloomington-and I spent much of the day going from building to building on the IU campus. Unfortunately I’d misplaced my hat and was too lazy to see if I’d left it in the car (I had). I finally broke down and bought a hat at the bookstore, which was a bit too small and left my hair looking like it belonged to a wild gorilla.
It was either that or freezing the tops of my ears off.
All in all, this trip was not as productive as it should have been-I had miscalculated with respect to the IU Libraries-I thought they would be open on Monday. They weren’t. (Funny enough, they were open Sunday, so I am a total idiot.) Interestingly, the libraries were open enough to show films in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., but then they wondered what was going on when only two people showed up.
I think I know why.
Gee, you should have been here just over a week ago when the temperature was 70 degrees and the lows were around 50. I figure this is the way nature is averaging the temperature through the winter.
I agree about the IU library and the MLK thing. Gee, close the shop and wonder why only two people show up for the film…
