So that CD I bought yesterday?
It turns out that Tomáše Savky was a contestant on the Czech Republic’s version of American Idol, Česko hledá Superstar in 2004. (See related: Racism in the contest.) He came in second to Aneta Langerova.
This makes the third Idol that I have purchased a CD for, the other two are British: Will Young and Gareth Gates. The British ones were intentional: Will Young is gay and I was curious, and Gareth Gates because although he came in second, his sales, at the time, were doing better. This one was by accident.
Randomly, Tomáše’s photo on his homepage is ugly and he was declared ugly by two different people at the office until I showed them other pictures from his site. Definitely a hottie.
