God, I feel strange. Friday I spent almost 50€ on myself. I bought glasses, a t-shirt, and an apron-all of which had a special personal meaning because they were emblazoned with “Lederer.”
Yes, I returned to Nüremberg and went with Rui to the Lederer Beer Gardens where I had a half liter of Lederer Bier and 9 traditional Bavarian Sausages with potato salad for lunch. I had aimed us to the restaurant with the specific intention of getting Lederer gifts in addition to lunch. The trick will be transporting them back to the parental units and siblings in the States, plus what to give whom-they are bulky and heavy.
I do know that I want the apron for myself.
The trip to Nüremberg was part of a longer trip down to southern Bavaria in the alps. We went down to Füssen saw a few castles, traveled the Romantic Road, and then returned home. I might babble about the trip later, but in the mean time, check out the photos on Flickr, the Romantic Road set!

That castle is amazing.
Will you ever wear the apron? I have a Louisiana one and it’s been used exactly once … by Gary.
Hey, Adam! I hope that you really enjoyed Neuschwanstein. Considering that it’s in GERMANY (and not in AUSTRIA), it’s quite amazing!
MT: The apron thing will rarely be used, especially since it is a waiter’s apron… not the kind of apron you’re thinking of. You wouldn’t use it while cooking. Perhaps I will go as a waiter for Halloween!
Rex: I loved Neuschwanstein. All the good castles are in Germany. At least none of the rivers here (that I know of) have killed anybody recently. Graz is a different story.
Waanbeleader: I agree … nice site. I’ll be commenting on yours soon!
