I knew I was getting better when upon waking up this morning, my first urge was to do the laundry.
In fact, I have finished three loads and am now washing the fourth-which contain, most importantly of all, my sheets-meaning that I will not be reinfecting myself when I go to bed tonight.
Actually I think one of my favorite things to do is snuggle under freshly washed sheets. There’s something about clean crisp sheets that just invites a good night’s sleep.
Hmmmmm…. I am just warm and fuzzy thinking about it!
Last night was a bit of a bummer-as you may remember from yesterday’s entry, I got a lot of sleep during the day. So later in the evening I woke up and decided I wanted to read a book. Turned on the light and *pop* the bulb burned out. I was back in the dark. It’s a halogen light and I have no idea where spare bulbs are, much less how to change one, so I put on the iPod and listened to a Podcast or two before falling back asleep.
I did manage to escape the flat today-I went for a walk downtown-which was busy-and went straight to the Residenz-Cafe for a salad. From there I returned to the flat and took another nap. It had exhausted me.
Beyond that, I’ve managed to put together a few more notes for my upcoming trip. I figured out which tram to take from the main train station in Bratislava to reach the hotel where Mateo and I will be staying.
It’s 7pm, and I’m thinking about taking a walk that will put me to sleep-but I need to wait for the dryer to finish working it’s magic first.
I’m glad you are feeling better, Adam. We want you in perfect health so you can enjoy every minute of your time in Budapest!!!!!
