Sundown in Weimar

Sundown in Weimar

Originally uploaded by elmada.

I’ve been cleaning and planning, and tomorrow evening is the birthday party

However, I’ve also been travel planning: Louisville is coming up soon, where I am going to meet with somebody regarding establishment of a new academic journal—they’re picking my brains for knowledge, and it should be an interesting and educational experience.

Shortly after that, I’m being sent to New York City—off to work with an academic publisher on a couple of projects—with the added bonus of getting to see my great aunt for the first time in several years.

In the meantime, the weather in Weimar has been incredibly cold—but beautiful. Take, for example, the sunset Wednesday evening, as seen above. If you click through to my Flickr account, you can see some of the frost accumulations that happens around here, as well as a picture of the “Weimar” train in Weimar, which was way cool!

I’ll be cooking all day tomorrow so I doubt I’ll be online… In that case, please have a great weekend!

  • I have to love my Aunt. I just called to warn her that I might be visiting, and her principle question was what kind of food I wanted to eat–I said anything.

And after a moment, I changed my mind:

    “Anything but German food.”
