Well, in just a few hours MT will be here.
FauxMT will be… gosh, who knows where. Probably the armpit of the Southern US. I would be more specific, but I’m not sure which spot is worst: Paying $63 for a day of standing in line and “fun” at Walt Disney World (which wants to know not just your country of residence but what state you live in before showing you prices—so I pretended to be living in the American State of Idaho, prices may vary; insane fools can buy a 10 day pass); or perhaps a trip to Trinity Music City is on order (where you can “journey through an actual recreation of the Via Dolorosa,” as opposed to journeying through the fake recreation.); although I’d bet a tour of all 124 Waffle Houses in South Carolina could be both a gross and edifying experience.
RealMT, on the other hand, is already in Detroit, although not all is well. She SMSed me: “Luggage broke b4 i made it out of eville. Typical.”
Hopefully that will be the worst thing to happen to her.
I, on the other hand, am puzzled. Why is it, no matter how much I pack, the suitcase is always full when I am done? This is true in the winter and in the summer, and summer clothing should be less heavy.
Late Evening Blog Update:
First, The German Cannibal has been sentenced to life in prision. I could make a joke here, but I won’t!
Second, This is blog entry number 800! Wooooot! Coincidently, Saturday will be the second anniversary of converting elmada.com to the blog format.

I have a feeling that FauxMT is in for a bit of adventure travel. The way it stands now, she will be in all 4 US time zones at some point during her trip however, we will not be leaving the United States.
Though RealMT didn’t get her trip last year, perhaps FauxMT should be at home taking care of her Faux-Husband?
Depending on how ambitious I get, there are going to be up to 7 stops.
Paul and Jan Crouch are the tackiest people on American television. I recall occasionally happening upon their “Praise the Lord” talk show when channel flipping in the US. The gaudy set- complete w/ faux greek columns and “baroque revival” furniture- would make even Liberace blush.
