So today I had my 2nd of July party—14 guests made their way through my door, slapped stuff on the grill, and generally (I hope) had a good time.
The weather was unreasonably warm today, so really the only time anybody spent out doors was when their food was getting cooked—everything else was spent inside, enjoying air conditioning set for something like 74F, which while not that cool, made for a stark contrast to the miserable 90F temperature outside (ignoring the heat index which probably shot it up even higher).
I wore my new US flag t-shirt that I bought a couple days ago—it’s not really that patriotic though, instead of stars, it has corporate logos. It’s a bit subtle so if you aren’t paying attention, you’d probably not notice. I plan on wearing it to the parade this Tuesday.
Meanwhile my fridge is stuffed to the gills with beer and cola, two things I don’t generally drink that much of, but you can be sure I will be tanked or caffinated.
Is it the Adbusters flag?
Where did you get it? All I’ve found is the flag, not the t-shirt.
Will we get a picture of you wearing it at the parade?
It is, in fact, the Adbusters flag. I got it at a local funky store here in Bloomington, Greetings. $7.50 plus tax.
adam hates the koko 🙁
I love koko, i have Duplo for you…
Greetings always has great T-Shirts. Michaels Uptown cafe always has great homefries.
Adam, you will just have to keep inviting people over for the rest of the time you are in Bloomington to help you put a dent in all that beer and soda 🙂 It was a great BBQ!
you should have an adam, mateo, koko, and boy party since the last two were unable to attend the partay 😀
Wow, only 90F? It was 96F here in Washington, DC yesterday and the humidity was about the same. *ugh*
I’m actually returning home tomorrow (Wednesday) and will be sticking around. I have not been home for most of the past month!
Schin-dig of some kind at my place, saturday night i think…
