Greetings from sunny Louisiana, cancer alley of the United States. Adam asked if I would fill in for him during his upcoming trip to Armenia. Look forward to my comments on life in the Deep South, the crazy people I work with, and the absurdly large numbers of penises that have been appearing in the movies I have been watching lately (and no, I am not talking about porn).
But first, a simple introduction. For those of you who don’t know me, I attended graduate school at Indiana University at the same time Adam was a student in Bloomington. Upon finishing my PhD I moved to Natchitoches, LA and accepted a position as in the Department of Mathematics at Northwestern State University of Louisiana.
I will post more once Adam is safely in Armenia. For now I return you to your regularly scheduled blog.
When exactly *IS* our friend going touring?
I do look forward to your postings, Jay. Feel free to stop by my blog, too.

I want my MTB! (MT Blog) 🙁
Jay: Welcome aboard!
All: I will be leaving at the end of this week. I might be able to make one or two posts from Armenia, but I make no promises.
CQ: MTB is a question for MT. I’d say ask about it on her blog, but it does seem to be non-functional.
MT to CQ: Email me at my gmail address.
CQ: Oh wait – duh, do you have my gmail address?
No, but my e-mail for blog related stuff is cynicalqueer at gmail.
Final Armenian Planning Update
So, I am leaving Weimar today, headed for Armenia and its beautiful scenery. Naturally, I am packing—using a friend’s backpack since I’ve heard its not a wise idea to use a suitcase since the minibuses (aka minivans) that one takes…
[…] the meantime, Just Jay will be taking center stage on the […]
