I am so jealous.
you are living my dream. My years in Germany were in dreary Oldenburg (an der Uni, 1993) and in Frankfurt (summer 95.)
It was a great time, but i was always longing to be further eastern. My travels never took me into the “fruehere Ostblok Laender” but never got to live there.
How far are you from Berlin? I am guessing not more than a couple of hours?
Jay–with the new Berlin Hbf, Berlin is 30 minutes closer–I want to say its about 2.5 hours away now, maybe slightly less. I would say Weimar is half way between Frankfurt and Berlin.
