I’m not sure, but I think I might be getting sick again – so much so that if I hadn’t had a mountain of work to do today I would have stayed in bed and slept it off. Instead I shared my germs with the office and finished the major project, whilst starting another project and finishing off yet a few others.
Tomorrow would be a good day to stay home, if only I didn’t have to go to the office early to make some phone calls.
I suppose all of this sounds like whining—and it is.
Sue me.
I saw the numbers for my trip to the UK today – it cost in the neighborhood of 900€; I’ll be getting about 750€ back (the rest was prepaid). Of course that doesn’t include the few small items I purchased along the way, like the Jelly Babies. Strictly speaking one cannot get reimbursed for such purchases.
At the end of the trip, I had but 45p in my pocket, before making the switch back to €uros. Not bad money management, all things considered—and lucky since the train ticket cost 80p more than I thought it was going to cost.
The oddest thing about my trip home was customs: Every other time I’ve entered Germany through Frankfurt, customs has kept a very low, if not invisible, profile. Arriving at 7:20 in the morning from Detroit, I cannot recall ever having seen the customs stations actively staffed. This time, the stations were fully staffed and they were stopping people who had visible duty free bags—I believe my flight from Bristol arrived at roughly the same time as flights from eastern Asia. Fortunately I strolled right through, onto the inter-terminal bus, with 30 minutes to spare before my train home.
Anyhow, I have a message for the hottest reality show contestant in the world today, Sandy: You are one hot guy; will you go out with me?
To which I ask… Who the F is Sandy?
And what show is he on?
Awww hopefully you’ll feel well soon. I am not feeling well as well but i have mountain of work to do and must be done immediately
