The weather in Weimar has taken a definite turn for the worse.
Today it was overcast and windy with periods of light rain. It was also fairly cool out—no more summer weight jackets when venturing out. People were bundled up walking down the street.
Rather than spend my day out, I stayed in most of the time, working on something (slightly frustrating) and baking Zucchini/Blueberry bread. I made one big loaf for the office and used the extra batter to make two small loafs for more immediate consumption. Tomorrow I will be making brownies for a social engagement Monday evening.
There really is something quite nice and cozy about a warm kitchen with something baking in the oven.
Baking *IS* wonderful, Adam! Your bread sounds exotic (and good!).
As a matter of fact I’m baking bread right now, also. Whole wheat with roasted millet and chopped pecans.
There’s nothing better than homemade bread. And it’s great therapy to make, too.
I like baking too and my father just baked these vanilla buns last night and they were soo good
Baking is always great–I spent Sunday baking as well: brownies and pizza.
