I have to say, without a single reservation, that today is the very best day I have ever seen in Germany.
The weather is perfect—warm, sunny, blue skies, no humidity. The parks were stuffed to the gills with people enjoying the weather: impromptu soccer games, sunbathers, and naked children playing in the water.
Yeah, you read that right.
I wandered around for awhile—eating lunch at an outdoor café, before settling into a spot on a hillside where I could read my Economist (gosh I am boring) and keep an eye on the passing pedestrians.
It was a glorious day.
Watch for complaints about sunburn in this spot tomorrow.
Naked children, but no naked sunbathers? Weimar must be a slightly more modest place than Bavaria. 🙂
This park might be too close to the center of town. I imagine there is some place nearby with casual nudity.
