I’ve heard through the rumor mill that this German summer has been pretty cold, wet, and otherwise miserable.
Not so for me: if you’ll recall, when I was here for a week of meetings in July, it was a nice and toasty 38°C (100F, for the Celsius challenged). I pretty much spent the week sitting in front of my office fan trying to stay cool and dry—a challenge considering that I sweat at the drop of a hat.
Apparently after I left, it returned to being cold and miserable—although as soon as I returned, a J commented, the weather turned nice. In fact, I am sitting here writing this in my sunroom with the balcony door wide open enjoy the cool evening air.
It couldn’t be more sophisticated and suave.
However, Wednesday it’s supposed to get nasty with rain forecast through at least Sunday.
well, i think that’s hilarious, that you always arrive right on time for the “good”, warm weather in germany…
if it is possible, please forward me some rain and cool air to chicago, because the heat paralizes everything and won’t stop. i would just love to have winter, or at least fall right now…guess we cannot change it, heh. miserable!
perhaps I should visit the windy city again… i seem to bring nice weather, wherever i go this year.
