First off I want to congratulate the American media for finally getting something correct.
Today is Super Tuesday.
Unfortunately it’s not Super Tuesday for the faux reasons that the media offers up. I wouldn’t say anytime one gets to choose between an excessively old codger, Ronald Reagan Hair, or a religious nut job, it’s not really a great choice—and that’s just the republican side.
Today is Super Tuesday because it’s my -INFORMATION REDACTED- birthday celebration.
The cake turned out well—better than the cake shown above. The red wine left behind a pleasant flavor—and despite needing an extra 15 minutes in the oven, it didn’t dry out. I was really pleased with how well it turned out. There would be photos of the finished product, but I left my camera at home today (yesterday I left my mobile at home, today the camera).
Sadly, that’s the extent of excitement today; I have a project I need to plow through this afternoon, a talk after that, and then I am going to go home and spend quality time with Angel before going to bed.
Any “celebrating” will take place at a later date and time.
Happy birthday!
I keep remember it is in February, but I always seem to get it a couple of weeks late. *blush*
I hope your day is pleasant and that you get everything you want out of it.
Happy birthday Adam!
Looking at the cake, I guess poor grammar doesn’t stop one from winning at the Monroe County fair 🙂
Happy Birthday, Adam! Congratulations on avoiding the dirt nap for another year! You’re a Star! What do you think about American Airlines charging $25 for an extra bag and $100 for each addtinal bag? Do you think it will catch on? I’m thinking it will be very popular with all major airlines very soon. So glad I don’t fly!
Happy Bday, Adam. You’re catching up to me in age.
Does that cake say ‘Your a star’? If so, *chortle*
Have a most fabulous birthday Adam!! Though there isn’t much left of it for you as I am typing this. I promise to send out a card soon, though maybe it won’t be of the birthday variety. Anyway, the cake sounds delish, maybe you can make it for us the next time you are in the states?!
Geez, everyone beat me to the punch about the bad grammar.!
@cq: Thanks! It’s ok… I’ve forgotten your b-day more than you’ve forgotten mine.
@IUMike: Thanks! I love the cake–and it won first prize!
@Ed: Thanks! BTW, it’s United not AA imposing the fee, and since I rarely, if ever, check a bag, never mind a second bag, it won’t affect me. Further, most people tend to bring too much stuff when they travel–this will make them think more.
@J: Thanks! One year at a time, soon I will catch up.
@mateo: Thanks! Remind me next time I’m in Hoosierland and I’ll be happy to make it for you.
@disenchanted: it’s my favorite cake of all time 🙂
Congratulations! You’re a SUPER STAR!!!
What a lovely cake except for the misspelling.
@Reko: Thanks! You’re so awesome too!
@cameron: I imagine the kid who made it was quite proud. Unfortunately I started laughing in the 4H barn…
