Honestly, I have no idea what bug has infected me, but after spending Sunday afternoon cleaning my bedroom, today I headed to the office and picked up cleaning it, where I had left off a couple weeks ago.
Maybe the cleaning is happening because Snooker tagged me last week and I want the photo(s) I take to look good, as opposed to the half hazard way it looks much of the time.
The office cleaning took, and I kid you not, from the time I arrived at 8:30 until noon—plus maybe another 15 or 20 minutes after lunch to tie up a few loose ends. Books were alphabetized; journals shelved properly; dust removed; papers recycled; and the closet organized. I think I saved a small forest today with all the papers that ended up in the recycle bin—a bin that started out empty when I arrived and by the end couldn’t have its lid shut.
Really, I should do this kind of thing more often. Some of the things that ended up in the recycle bin I hadn’t looked at in more than two years, and there was one item that I thought was one thing, but when I opened it and looked through it, I was surprised to realize it wasn’t what I thought. Kind of embarrassing, actually—although I didn’t actually tell anybody at the office.
Naturally this wasn’t what I was planning on doing today, but since I caught the wave, I decided it was best to ride it as long as I could.
In the afternoon, I headed to the Weimar Office, where I actually did something productive.
Wanna come clean my house and office?
Wow, the reverberations are spreading throughout Germany;-)
@cq: Uh… if you pay the plane ticket.
@G: All because you want to see my shelves… shocking.
Oh yes, I’ll pay the plane ticket! Come on up, we’ll clean and then party!
