Today was my office’s annual Wandertag.
Wandertag, which would translate loosely as “Hiking Day” is a great German tradition, and this year we wandered off to Naumburg (Saale) to explore its famous cathedral, tour the city, and eat lunch as a group.
For the record, Naumburg (Saale) is about 50 kilometers east and a little bit north, of Weimar, and should not be confused with the other German Naumburg.
Fortunately today was the first nice day of the week—earlier days had been cursed with cloudy and miserable weather—so our tour was fantastic. A couple photos are below, and there’s more for the dedicated: Check out my Flickr set, Naumburg (Saale) Wandertag.

@Ian: Thanks! It’s a cute little city worth a day of exploration, should you ever be in my neck of the woods. Of course there are a lot of cute little cities worht a day of exploration, and there are only so many days.
