So the wall in the living room has been repaired.
Rather than ripping out the wall and building a new one, the workman spackled over the crack and painted it.
Somewhere in the middle of this I stepped into the living room. He informed me that it wasn’t drying quickly because the room was cold.
As I pointed out, the radiators were in the room—leaning on the walls, unattached.
Theoretically speaking, the plumber should reinstall the radiators sometime in the next hour.
The spackle wasn’t dry and he painted the wall? Oh my… I expect them to have to return later and repaint. *shrugs*
oh well, i think they did a quick job anyhow. not even three working days in total for fixing it entirely.
try that in america.
@CQ: The part that was painted is now behind the reinstalled radiators. As long as the wall doesn’t have a huge crack in it any more, I don’t actually care.
@Anki: The workmanship does seem slightly suspicious for Germany…
No heat? I’d die!
@J: Just the living room — the rest of the flat was fine.
