Today I finally downloaded all the pictures off of my camera and uploaded many of them to Flickr–mostly from my recent trip to America. The American Scene is varied and fun, and I thought I would present you some highlights.

Bloomington has a Liberal Green Ethic running through it that makes environmental messages eligible to be art. I think it's brilliant!
The IU Hoosiers basketball team is terrible this year, although againt Wisconsin the first half was rather reasonable. The wheels came off in the second half and IU was creamed.
Regardless of the team's poor performance on the floor, the circus that is an IU Basketball game is always entertaining. This is one of my favorite Cheerleader routines where all the girls bow down to men.
I went with a friend to Kohls so that she could buy some stuff. While she was trying it all on, I was appaled by the bra department. I cannot recall having been in such a department ever.
Indianapolis has a new terminal at its airport. It is rather generic, but it is an improvement over the old dingy thing. I liked this piece of public art.
American Train Stations are, on average, a whole lot less photogenic than those in Germany.
Hey there Adam. Does that train station say Hartford? As in Hartford CT? If so your train probably passed right by my house!
Oh god. That is one of the ugliest bras I have ever seen. UGH!!!

@Jess: It is! I took the train from Hartford to New York City/Penn Station. I had to change trains somewhere, I think New Haven, but I forget the name of the city. I have to say that Amtrak is a joke and the US needs to both get serious about train travel and stop being paranoid about security.
@disenchanted: But it’s ROCK STAR AWESOME! It looked pretty tame compared to the animal print bra… well, maybe more colorful, just not quite as animalistic.
@koko: I will buy you the animal print bra, but I need to know your sizes since girl things are a complete mystery to me.
