Yeah… so… I’m having a party tonight.
Starting at 5.
I know that’s early, but most of the guests are coming from Jena, and since they will eventually want to return to Jena, most by train, I need to have an early party.
This morning I have, so far, vacuumed the rug, cleaned the bathroom, done a load of laundry (currently in the dryer), washed the kitchen counters, cleaned the dining room table, put away a lot of crap, moved the TV a few centimeters, repositioned the couches, run the dishwasher, put away the dishes, swept part of the floor, put away clean clothes, folded towels, and, well, you get the idea.
It’s especially exciting because the Regensbloggers are coming, as well as Cathy—so there will be an element of Expatriate Bloggers in town. Hopefully they’ll get to meet, but Cathy’s schedule might preclude meeting tonight. Fortunately we’ll be able to meet tomorrow.
For the moment I’m zoning out—chilling, if you will. Probably I’ll do some last minute shopping in an hour or so, and then in the afternoon I become Suzi Homemaker: Chocolate Chip Cookies, Brownies, and Guacamole are on my to-do list.
I hope I have enough food and drink. I feel like I might not—but I’m not sure what my guests are bringing.
Oh yes, and it is a movie night and I”m showing Hoosiers.
have fun at the party!
Hoosiers! I love the small old teams they show on there. Remember Linton and Bedford and Oolitic are all real places. The Butler field house Goal posts are 10 feet high just like back in Milan.
I’m sooooooo bummed we couldn’t come over. 🙁
hey, at least when you say 5, people arrive at 5! here it’s called tico time. which means what ever the f..k you want it to mean, but it surely doesn’t mean the hour said.
The Travel Expert(a) and an Expat with a Twist
I love the new apartment. I’m going to have to come see it sometime.
Adam threw a great party in his chic new apartment and appears to only know people of the most excellent sort!
Not knowing anyone there except Adam and Sarah, I felt it would have been weird to take pictures at his party of people I don’t know.
But the rest of the Weimar/Erfurt weekend pics I snapped (and kept) are going up as we speak at flickr under this link for the slideshow and here for the normal flickr page for the set. Sooner or later they’ll be up and/or linked to over at the Regensblog.
