Wow, when I realized that the 2,000th blog post was getting closer, I thought that when it arrived I would have something profound to say.
Well, it’s here, and I have nothing profound to say.
I view my blog as a way to vent and as a way to record my life’s goings-on. I like it because every so often I go back and read what I’ve written before and it brings back floods of memories. In that sense, for me, I would write the blog even without readers.
But it is you, the reader, exist that makes my blog something more than a personal journal.
Therefore I must thank you for coming and reading what I have to say.
I don’t imagine that it’s always interesting, always correct, or always understandable, yet you read, so I am thankful. Many of you even comment, which is going a step beyond, so to those of you who comment, regularly or irregularly, I especially thank you.
I’m also thankful to those of you who contributed to my “Out of 2000” project. Everybody I asked, contributed—save for one person who’s been pressed for time—and which I understand. While some of the choices I could have predicted, some came completely out of the blue—posts that I’d forgotten about thus bringing a flood of memories back. If I didn’t ask you (and making my list was gut-wrenching), please feel free to comment and tell me what your favorites are.
Meanwhile, I’m hoping to have another 2,000 entries, if not many thousands more.
Thank you.

Oh boy! I’m first to comment on your 2000th entry. I feel special. 😛
Congratulations on Numero 2000! I’m hoping there will be thousands more entries also, and that I will be around to read all of them.
Congratulations, Adamo. Yet one more piece of evidence for what we have all long known: u da MAN!
Hugs, Reko
Happy 2000th!
Here’s hoping for 2000 more.

i hope there is less talk of used underwear in the next 2000….yucko!
No need to be profound, you’ve already let the rest of us say what needed to be said!!! 🙂
Congratulations on your milestone, Adam! The Germans would call this a Schnapps number, so make sure you have some. At this rate it will take me about 20 years to get up to 2,000. 🙂
