This weekend is the Pride Film Festival here in Bloomington, and I am going every single night!
After figuring out how to navigate the festival’s calendar I realized that I’ve already seen two of the films: Patrick 1.5 and Coming Out.
The former I watched with my Pseudo Wife II, who, as you may recall, is Turkish and married to a Swede. She brought the film down to Weimar and said I would love it; and I did. It’s an amusing film, even if Canada Border Services Agency held it for inspection as it was being imported.
The later is a film that I watched first in 2004 and have since bought a copy of. It’s a coming out story set in the DDR and not only was it made in the DDR, it premiered on November 9, 1989, the night that the Berlin Wall fell. It’s an interesting film and definitely a period piece.
I’m looking forward to seeing these films again, as well as seeing everything else. It promises to be an interesting weekend.
I’m sure we’ll be having a great time at the festival!!!
