My Religion is sane. That other one is…

Before I get started, let me be painfully clear about a couple of things:

I am an atheist, and like many atheists I’m pretty well informed when it comes to things religious, even more so than the religious. I believe that religion has done far more harm to society than to help it, however I […]

Pretty Gourd-geous

79 cent at Edeka

VR Bank Weimar doesn’t get it.

It’s amazing how difficult it can be to close an account with the people at VR Bank Weimar.

I regret ever opening an account with them.

Miserable Dienstleistung indeed.

Things I’ve learned this weekend at the real Berlin Marathon

1) Skaters go really fast and make for great photography. Except when it’s cloudy and rain is falling.

2) Racers go at a much more reasonable pace but they smell bad, even when it’s cloudy and raining. I hesitate to imagine how bad it could smell if it were sunny out.

3) There are a […]

Surprise Cold

This has been a pretty rough week for me—and it’s not work related.

Instead I have cold that seemed to be mild, but I suspect it knocked me off my otherwise still moving feet.

TQEQE 2010: That Queer Expatriate’s Queer Expedition in Hamburg

We were struggling because Saturday night was my annual expedition where I […]

Last Friday in Lüneburg

Last Friday was the Umlaut Sidetrip to Lüneburg for WEBUM/WEBMU 2010. I finally uploaded pictures from the trip, so I thought I would share some of my favorites.

Lüneburg's decorated its utility boxes–this one to look like an apartment building.

This is the "Unterkirche" for a church in Lüneburg. Quiet and dramatic.

It’s been a great 24 hours for my communication!

Monday evening, when I was at home, I got a call from my friendly T-Punkt store (T-Punkt sells stuff for T-Com (the telephone company, and now known as, I believe, T-Home) and what used to be (at least in Germany) T-Mobile (the mobile phone company, now happily known as “Telekom”).

The wonderful lady had happy […]

From Katrina – katrnab@gmail.com

Hi, I contacted you because I need a person who can sell my items on eBay. I just got my hands on many laptops from a store that entered in bankrupt. The laptops are brand new, never used, they are all sealed in their original box with all the accessories and producer warranty. I had […]
