Surprisingly I get less advertising in my mailbox in Berlin than I did in Weimar–so much less that I haven’t felt the urge to put up the “No advertising or free newspapers” sticker at all!
This week I got a flier from Berlin-Express, a package tour provider, touting trips to Dubai, Karneval in Venedig, and Weimar.

From 179€, per person, double occupancy, I could get a three day trip in late February or early March to Weimar. Complete with a luxury bus transfer with on-board service, hotel with half-board, Gala evening, Live music and travel quiz, tour of Weimar, and a stop in Naumburg.
Yup: the home of poets and composers (Goethe, Schiller, Bach, Liszt), a UNESCO World Heritage site, blah, blah. blah.
I think I won’t be going on this trip.

You should go to Weimar! I went once and it was a wonderful trip. Though my host at the time seemed to be interested in moving to a bigger city. *shrugs*
