As I imagine it, people are bored of me (and others) all bitching about the same thing pretty much continuously for the last few weeks: the lack of summer this summer here in Berlin
So when yesterday’s forecast had a big ball of flame on it, and it didn’t turn into clouds, I got excited and I cleared my schedule.
Just after 12:30, when I figured that the weather had warmed up enough, I slapped on sunscreen and headed to the park—I spread out my big beach towel, pulled out a book, and I did nothing for 3 hours straight—nothing but sit in the sun, read a book, and occasionally take a sip of water.
Oh yeah, and people watch – there was a cute blue-hair Mohawk nearby.
I wouldn’t say it was hot. Quite the contrary it was perfect: Not so hot that I sweltered, not so cool that I wanted to go home after 15 minutes.
Although I hoped it would be sunny today, it’s not.
In fact, as I write this, it is raining.
And I have fond memories of my afternoon at the park.
We had too much summer here…the rainstorm last night finally cooled things down. Today actually feels like Fall. Glad you got to enjoy your day in the sun!
