This morning one of my colleagues and I headed to a nearby Imbiss – I’d noticed the signs advertising it a few weeks ago and decided I wanted to go – mainly for the view, not for the food.
However it’s in a red-neck type of setting and I decided I wanted company – hence the colleague – and that I wanted to bring my camera in order to take advantage of its odd location.
It’s a construction site and the Imbiss is behind the perimeter fence. The site is the new Leipzigerplatz No 12 – a mall.
I was a bit disappointed because I hoped that the Imbiss would be on the upper level of the construction site offices, instead it was on the ground level, but the views were still cool. The coffee, though… terrible.
Looks fantastic! Do they serve beer?
I don’t remember seeing it on the menu — I’m not really looking for it at 8 in the morning… but if I had to hazard a guess, unfortunately, no.
yes…after a hard day of sitting in front of the computer, watching a construction site is surely pacifying. The utter massiveness of the cranes, the subtle dust of cement passing smoothly as stars in a disney movie…hmm…and yes, people! People who know where to fill in the concrete and where not, wow! Satisfying to watch….things getting constructed, built, positiveness, movement, ….and then go back to your office, sit on the computer to feel weirdly better off!
Now that I know where the Imbiss is actually located, I am highly confident that it is closed before 3:30 in the afternoon.
Well, at least it was closed today by this time. It’s probably a breakfast and lunch only kind of place…
