This photo turned out to be slightly more problematic than I expected, to be honest – Sunday morning my Sagittarius Amigo and I took the Harlem Gospel Walking Tour from Harlem Heritage Tours.
After an interesting hour long introductory talk at the offices of the company, we walked over to the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in order to participate/view the Sunday morning services – but it wasn’t until we were walking out the door that it was mentioned that there would be no photography in the church.
Crud, I thought – but then we were told we’d be there for an hour before moving on — fine, but the services “started” at 11 – which was really more like 11:15 – and it was at noon when the collection plate was passed – and yes, I donated despite being an atheist.
It was while the “security” guard (who seemed both un-understanding and inexperienced, which is an unnerving combination) watching over us was watching the collection plate instead that I snuck out my iPhone and grabbed my 18:00 CET photo – and I was meek in that I took a photo of the program.
Some time soon, once I’ve looked at the photos from the rest of the walking tour, I’ll talk about the walking tour, which lasted significantly longer than I expected, and was really quite good.
