Whatchamacallit 21: Grindr

Grindr -- represented by the Grindr logo and a coffee grinder.

This piece of art could sit in two places – my bedroom or my kitchen.

I chose my kitchen.

This was a wonderful present from a dear friend, an amazing piece of fabric art capturing both my love of coffee (well in the past; I quit drinking coffee in November 2018 – save for 5 or 6 strategically time cups when I needed a caffeine hit) and to look at men on Grindr (though I haven’t opened the app in weeks – for reasons you can imagine).

Whenever I see this piece of art, it makes me very happy.

The friend who made this is an amazing artist – when she talks about fabric it is clear to me that she knows what she is talking about – the thinks about fabric in the way that a wine sommelier thinks about wine.

I’m privileged to know her.

During the Covid-19 crisis, I am going to try and make a point of writing a blog post about an object in my home.

We’ll see how long this lasts.
