Gosh, it was four years ago today that I met friends at Brandenburg Tor to remember the victims of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting.
The above heart was given to me by somebody in the crowd during the gathering to wear – I’ve kept it ever since.
I don’t know why.
Maybe I do: It honors the dead, it reminds me that while I live in a safe bubble, the world is not all that safe. America is not that safe.
We cannot forget Pulse. We cannot forget Matthew Shepard.
We cannot forget that Black Lives Matter.
During the Covid-19 crisis, I am going to try and make a point of writing a blog post about an object in my home.
We’ll see how long this lasts.
