Whatchamacallit 148: Felix Ever After

Felix Ever After

I ran across this book somewhere and decided to order it: Felix Ever After

This is an amazing book about an FTM teenager attending high school in Brooklyn, exploring themes around love, friendship, transphobia, being rich, no longer being rich, being rejected, and more.

It is also one of the best written books that I’ve read in a long time: the story is well thought out, things are properly foreshadowed, the plot well done.

The fact that it addresses a topic that there isn’t enough written about is an added bonus.

Interestingly, the book makes references another transgender teen novel: I am Jay. I read I am Jay back in 2013: I found it lacking. I won’t go into details here since I pretty well complain about it my blog post from back then.

This book is a page turner: I read it in a few hours, passing away some free time and enthusiastically recommend it to others.

During the Covid-19 crisis, I am going to try and make a point of writing a blog post about an object in my home.

We’ll see how long this lasts.
