A year or two ago, I used the bathroom at a friend’s place – noticing the non-plastic toothbrushes. I asked about them – learning about bamboo toothbrushes that are entirely biodegradable, no plastic involved, no plastic consequences for the planet, especially since I go through 4-5 toothbrushes in a year; sometimes more if I am travelling a lot.
Thus, this is supply of toothbrushes that I have on hand.
I’ve not eliminated plastic completely from my life – that will take a lot more effort, but I am making progress on the edges. I’ve stopped regularly buying fruit juice in plastic bottles – instead spending more for fruit juice in glass bottles.
The toothbrush is a daily reminder to do better for the planet.
During the Covid-19 crisis, I am going to try and make a point of writing a blog post about an object in my home.
We’ll see how long this lasts.
