So today I got something that teenagers get in America.
In fact, now that I think about it, I think my oldest nephew is about to get his.
I got my drivers license.
My German one, that is.

woohoo!! drive on you crazy kid 😛
Fun! The question is: can you read the license?
Heh heh. You don’t even *want* to know what I was thinking after I read the first line! And then to see that all you got was your driver’s license. Oh well…it’s all good, I guess. Did you get a good photo on the license? That’s the most important part.
The photo is….
excellent.
I fear that the German government would not issue me one after this mornings driving my $30,000 car into the back of a mini-van incident.
I’ve made that turn 200 times before and nobody has ever stopped in the middle of that street after proceeding from the stop sign.
OUCH! That’s one expensive wreck! Did you survive otherwise unscathed?
MT, to add insult to my “injury” the car is leased. Fortunately for me, this little run-in didn’t do much if any damage to the car. I think if I buff out the bumper that it would be difficult to notice anything. After I washed the car yesterday you can’t really see damage.
I guess I got lucky. 🙂
[…] The fact that I delayed one of the key coming-of-age moments didn’t lessen its impact, and I have been lucky enough to experience it twice—the second time was back in January ’05 when I got my German Driver’s License. […]
