Helsinki

It’s 9pm in Helsinki and we’re about to head out to the “Lost and Found Club” — a “straight friendly” gay club, as Antti has described it. Results will be posted, eventually.

Helsinki is a beautiful city — complete with a heated street–not that one feels warm, but there is no snow whatsoever on the street because it is kept warm enough to melt any snow that lands. I also got lucky and we went into a bookstore that stocks English language books–many of which were on sale for bargain prices.

That said, I only grabbed one to keep me occupied as we return to Tallinn from Helsinki tomorrow evening.

Remind me to talk about booze in Finland. It’s expensive and it’s controlled. Reminds me of Utah.

postcards! postcards! Don’t forget postcards! I may *never* get to Helsinki.

  • many will be in today’s mail. People will generally get one from either one or the other–but not both.

Except my sister. Now that I’m two countries ahead of her.

I hope I get one from Estonia. 🙂 I got enough Finnish stuff when our company president was Madame Ambassador.
