Winter, Redux

If you follow the German based expat Tweeters you will have undoubtedly noticed some complaining about the weather.

The temperature in Berlin, right now, is 12C/53F.

It’s also raining—a steady drizzle that leaves you wondering if you need your umbrella or if you can risk taking a short walk without.

I’m taking the opportunity to have a relatively quiet day: I had two plans with friends today: both were busted. One plan was to participate in the All Nations Festival; the day when embassies across Berlin are open to the public. The other plan was dinner tonight. Instead I went to the gym, lifted weights, and did 51 minutes of cardio.

Not what I planned, but pretty decent day overall.

  • Have a pleasant day nevertheless, and yes it’s cold today!

  • At least Mother Nature has not gone schizophrenic in your area. We’ve had two cycles of 60F followed by 105F in the span of two weeks here in California. She can’t decide if it’s winter or summer and here it is the first part of July.

We’re either in a sauna or a refrigerator here, with no in-between.
