Today was a happy day for multiple reasons: Birthday: It was my birthday! I should have baked cake for my office, but because my kitchen is in tear-down mode, I had to make do with store bought cake. Not as good; but I promised my colleagues that I would provide homemade sweets at my Apartment […] I am slightly sick-while on the train to Rotterdam, I experienced what I could only call motion sickness, but what I think was the worst moment of being sick. I showed no ill effects while in Rotterdam, but on the train back I got incredibly congested. This morning, I took some daytime equivalent of Sudafed […] I stayed home ill today–I had a sore throat and spent much of the day napping and reading. I should get sick more often. I took a nap this afternoon and when I woke up, I woke up just in time for a huge storm to pass directly overhead. The cable was interrupted with a tornado warning and then promptly went out. I turned on the radio and heard the public radio station tell me four times in a […] I didn’t sleep well last night. This might be the perfect opportunity to try out the hammock this afternoon–but will a cicada fly into my mouth whilst I am sleeping? Questions abound! |
