I popped onto Amazon recently searching for something, but thanks to an absent-minded linguistic mistake on my part, I ended up discovering that there is such a thing as submergible LED lights that come complete with a remote control so that you can switch between 12 colors, flashing, brightness and more. That said, this […] I bought this piece of art at the Winterfeldtmarkt a few years ago – I have no idea how much I paid for it, but it was probably 20€ or less. The backside has a small sticker indicating it is from Jannis Miniaturwelten, Berlin, along with the URL: http://www.jannis-miniaturwelten.de/ — which still works. I […] A few years ago, I was in Canada in the run-up to Pride, which is when I bought this bracelet. While I can tell you that I bought this at Roots, the venerable Canadian clothing store, I have no idea how much I paid for it. I also do not know when I bought […] I love the Pumpkin Snaps, I can leave the Pumpkin Spice Popcorn. I’ll try the pasta sauce tonight If I weren’t lactose intolerant. I went all out – my scarf trailing behind […] A couple weeks ago, just before Easter, I took a long lunch and wandered by Berlin’s branch of Galeries Lafayette, the French department store. It’s actually quite convenient to my office and since I had forgotten to prepare a dish for a party I was attending, it’s basement boutique grocery store gave me the opportunity […] Along my walk. I’m in London for a short holiday – and my first day was most excellent. Given Heathrow norms (an airport I try to avoid), I fully expected to spend an hour, if not two, clearing immigration. Instead, I went from the aluminum tube to the London Tube in about 30 minutes […] These are good times to be a vegetarian in Europe. Not that I am one, but like most people living in Europe, I’ve been eyeing the ground “beef” with a great deal of suspicion of late. Mainly because it’s not necessarily beef. Amazingly, some products claiming to have ground beef actually contain 100% pure ground […] |
